This article is for the content of Five Nights at Treasure Island that was changed or did not make it to the final release. Camera placement[]According to the picture posted on AnArt's DeviantArt wall, the camera layout was different, with the 7th replacing the final CAM 6's placement and the first being inside the office. Alongside this, the camera layout was supposed to be very different:
PM Clock[]In the same picture, the clock depicts "2 PM" instead of "2 AM". This would mean that the game could've taken place during the day rather than the night. Power Usage[]According to one of the beta pictures, there was also supposed to be a power usage meter, similar to Five Nights at Freddy's. This mechanic later made a comeback in the final version of the game as well as in 5.0 V2. Character Prep 2[]Similarly, the Storage Room was originally going to be Character Prep 2.
CTRL Usage[]In a video by Tia, it showed that there was a control where the player could press the CTRL key to stand still listed in the beta options menu. The video can be seen here (deleted). Original Demo[]Old Main Menu Jumpscare[]In the original Five Nights at Treasure Island main menu, if the player stayed idle for too long, the Photo-Negative Mickey in the background would face the camera and say "Hey... Wanna see my head come off?". Photo-Negative Mickey's beta death animation would then play and start the player on Night 1. This was removed in Remastered 1.0, and was temporarily replaced by the ENDgame option. A different version returned in Remastered 2.0. Photo-Negative Mickey Beta Jumpscare[]In early builds of the original Five Nights at Treasure Island demo, as seen in AnArt's files, Photo-Negative Mickey had a different jumpscare. He started out farther away from the player and would approach the player. Compared to the jumpscare seen in the final version of that demo, Photo-Negative Mickey seemed to be flailing less. The jumpscare on the title screen, however, stayed unchanged in the final version of the Demo. Oswald's Beta Jumpscare[]In TBmHC, Oswald's early jumpscare animation can be seen. It shows him attacking further away from the screen, and his mouth and chest seem to distort in their shape a little. Original Phone Call[]In the original demo, the player can hear an old version of the Night 1 phone call. In this call, Greg is considerably sterner and sounds more professional. He also seems to be less "friendly" than in the remastered version of the game. Office Flashlight[]As shown in the .blend files, an office flashlight was planned as a mechanic in the original demo but was quickly scrapped. This would eventually make a comeback in 5.0 V2. Camera Flashlight[]Similarly, a camera flashlight was also planned in a similar fashion to Five Nights at Freddy's 2. This was scrapped extremely early in development and was never implemented into any camera besides the Lounge. Unused Pirate Caverns Renders[]It was originally planned for the player to be able to use their flashlight on the desk in the Tech Room in Pirate Caverns. It is currently unknown why this was scrapped. Early Wall Textures[]As revealed in the .blend files for the map, two other wall textures for the game's map were considered before the final one was chosen. These were all in the form of a rust texture as opposed to the final demo's concrete wall texture. The second variant would later be reused for the pipe in the office and the stall in the bathroom, while the first one would remain completely unused in the final game. The first variant's texture would later be reused for the lower walls in the office in Purity Sin's demo of Remastered 2.1 and in Remastered 3.0. Characters[]Dohna[]Matthew Phoenix Rodriguez, the game's creator, tried to remake Jake into a girl (named "Dohna") for the remastered version of Five Nights at Treasure Island. By then, however, the call was already recorded having mentioned the main character's name as Jake. An early model for the "Dohna" character was made and was meant to be seen in a mirror in Pirate Caverns but went unused due to the decision to keep the Jake character. Hourglass[1][]According to game creator Matthew Phoenix Rodriguez, there was originally to be a little crawling humanoid character that was colored green. It is unknown what it did in-game, but it is known that it had no importance to the game's main story. Later on, Matthew released an image depicting the figure, and confirming its name to originally be Hourglass. MickMick/Corrupted Mickey [2][]MickMick/Corrupted Mickey looked exactly like the real Mickey Mouse, unlike Photo-Negative Mickey the previous Main Character he had normal Colors and is seen having eyes and , he was confirmed to replaced Willy in Remastered 3.0 & planned to be in the Final Game before the Project was cancelled, he is then added to the also cancelled Remastered 4.0 and 4.5 versions (by SubWooferX3 and BlackOut1912) with a different appearance, He had three small holes on his head, and one large hole was visible on his body. He walked with a wide-drawn grin on his face, and Henry's white skull can be seen in the eyeholes. Ortensia[3][]Ortensia was to appear in Remastered 3.0, however, she never made it into any builds due to the game being cancelled. There was an attempt on bringing her back in Remastered 4.0 and 4.5 (by SubWooferX3 and BlackOut1912) but was also cancelled. She has cat ears on her head, a pink hat with a chamomile, a black nose and a big smile, but there are no eyeballs. She wears a pink skirt, and her hands are missing, like Oswald's.
Beta Slester[]A beta image of Slester was found in the game's archive. His model had no legs, there were no seams on the chest with a large black cut, and the body was not pierced with three metal spikes, as in the version he was released by Matthew.
Beta Impure Mouse[]There is also a beta image of Impure Mouse, the details of which did not make it to Remastered 3.0: it has human black grays that Photo-Negative Minnie did not have in older versions of the game.
Locations[]Beta Meat Freezer/Character Prep 1[]While Remastered 2.0 was still in development, Matthew released two images of Meat Freezer and Character Prep 1 without textures and with minor model changes. CAM 11[]It is an unfinished room with three lamps and a large brown carpet. While CAM 11 was unfinished, it was supposed to be the entrance to the Treasure Island building itself. AnArt planned that The Face would launch from this cam. Full Map[]AnArt1996 created a complete map of Treasure Island, in which there were silhouettes of new locations. Purity Sin's demos of Remastered 2.1 and Remastered 3.0 reuse Remastered 1.0's map layout albeit with anti-aliasing (and, by extension, different camera buttons), and thus this map layout goes unused.
